Subscriptions, final price, and renewal
Paid tiers are monthly digital subscriptions. The plans page describes each tier without advertising a tax-exclusive amount. Stripe shows the exact amount payable, including applicable taxes and any supported local-currency presentation, before you confirm payment.
By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to charge the final amount displayed in Checkout and then automatically charge the applicable monthly renewal amount until cancellation. Renewal amounts may change because of taxes, exchange rates, or a notified subscription-price change. We will give advance notice of a subscription-price increase where required by applicable law.
For a Stripe Managed Payments purchase, Link is the merchant of record for the payment transaction and provides transaction, order, refund and subscription support through Link. Shadow Government operates and supplies the game and remains responsible for product delivery, product support, its content, advertising, statutory notices and its own legal obligations.
For a legacy or direct Stripe subscription, Stripe provides payment processing and the Stripe billing portal, while Shadow Government is the product and subscription supplier.
For a Managed Payments purchase, use Link order management or Link transaction support for the payment, refund or subscription transaction. You may still contact Shadow Government about product delivery, access, complaints, statutory notices or consumer rights relating to the game.
Your content and intellectual-property rights
You retain ownership of material you own. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit text, images or other material and must not infringe another person's rights.
You grant Shadow Government a non-exclusive licence only as reasonably needed to operate the service: to host, store, reproduce, back up, display and distribute material within the service; to make technical adaptations such as resizing or transcoding; and to review, restrict or preserve it for moderation, security and legal purposes.
The licence normally ends when the material is deleted or the account closes, except for bounded backups, legal or safety records, and material whose continued retention or publication has another documented lawful basis. Infringing material may be removed. Report an intellectual-property concern through support; this is not a US-only DMCA process.
Immediate digital supply and cooling-off rights
Before Stripe Checkout starts, you must separately and expressly request that premium digital benefits begin immediately during any applicable statutory cancellation period. You must also acknowledge that, once supply of qualifying digital content begins, you may lose the statutory right to cancel that digital-content supply to the extent permitted by law.
UK consumers normally have a 14-day statutory cancellation period for qualifying distance contracts. A premium subscription may include both digital content and ongoing services, so immediate supply does not automatically remove every cancellation or refund right. See the statutory cancellation information and optional model form. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
AI voice advisor
The optional AI voice advisor is a read-only guidance feature for Party Leader users. When you start it, microphone audio is sent live to Cartesia for transcription and spoken responses; Cartesia's provider retention rules may apply. Shadow Government does not store raw audio or transcripts. The advisor is not a human adviser, does not make eligibility or enforcement decisions, and may be inaccurate. Do not share personal or sensitive information with it.
Renewal cancellation, statutory cancellation, and refunds
Cancel future automatic renewal through Link order management for a Managed Payments subscription, or through the Stripe billing portal for a legacy or direct Stripe subscription. Renewal cancellation normally leaves paid access available until the end of the current billing period. It is different from exercising a statutory cancellation right during an applicable cooling-off period and from asking for money to be refunded.
The Refund and Cancellation Policy explains each route, how to contact us, and when a refund may be required because the service was not supplied correctly or applicable law requires one. Closing an account also requests cancellation of active Stripe subscriptions before closure.
Tier changes
An upgrade starts a replacement subscription through Stripe Checkout and takes effect only after payment is confirmed. We then cancel the lower-tier subscription so it does not renew. To move to a lower tier, cancel the current subscription and select the new tier after current paid access ends, or contact support. Stripe displays the final amount before you confirm an upgrade.
Moderation appeals and support
Use the support page for moderation appeals and for subscription, payment, account, safety, privacy, or technical questions. You may also send an unambiguous statutory cancellation statement to [email protected].
