Your privacy: a guide for ages 13 to 17

A short explanation of how Shadow Government uses your information.

What we need

We need an email, display name, password and date of birth to create and protect your account. Your date of birth helps us confirm the 13+ rule, keep your age band current and apply age-appropriate safeguards. Other information is created when you play, post, message, report something, ask for support or choose an optional feature.

Do not post private real-world information about yourself or somebody else. Avoid sharing health, religion, sexuality or real-world political-belief information unless it is genuinely necessary for a safety or rights report.

Your choices

  • You can block and report people or content.
  • Discord, voice features and browser diagnostic replay are optional.
  • Diagnostic replay is off unless you switch it on, and you can switch it off later.
  • You can download a convenience copy of account data, close the account, or make a formal rights request.
  • A moderator or support handler, not an automated system, decides complaints and moderation outcomes.

Who receives information

We use providers for hosting, email, payments, security scanning, optional Discord/voice/AI features and diagnostics. We send them only the information needed for the feature. Link/Stripe controls its own payment and Link-account records. Closing Shadow Government does not automatically erase provider-controlled records.

Read the full Privacy Policy, use Data Rights, or ask a question through Support. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
